Second Ganzouri Cabinet

The Second Cabinet el- Ganzuri has acted in the period from 7 December 2011 until August 2, 2012 as the reigning Egyptian government. ( Formally, resigned on 26 June 2012; practically but it was not replaced until August 2 by the following Cabinet Kandil. )

The name derives from the fact that the Prime Minister Kamal el- his term Ganzuri already in the Mubarak era, this office ever held, and now for the second time allowed to lead a cabinet. El- Ganzuri was appointed by the military council after the previous cabinet resigned Sharaf was closed in protest against the handling of the Military Council with the demonstrating population. However, the closed resignation of the Cabinet Sharaf not implied that former Minister then not again would be called: as nine ministers were renominated from the former Cabinet Sharaf in their office, three more who still came from the Mubarak era and under Essam Sharaf could go on, also ( as defense minister Tantawi not included, he could also be counted as a fourth ). The plan was for this cabinet that by June 2012 at least take the business of government into their own hands and should form a Interrimsregierung until the conclusion of Egypt's parliamentary and presidential elections, then what is done in this way.
