HEC Montréal ( École des Hautes Études Commerciales ) is the oldest economic university in Canada. She is the first North American university that holds the three accreditations AACSB International ( USA), EQUIS ( European Union ) and AMBA (UK).

History

The HEC Montréal was founded in 1907 by the Chamber of Commerce Montréal. In 2007 she was celebrated 100 years of existence. The university has 50 research centers and 22 departments. Currently, about 12,000 students are enrolled in the 33 economic programs.

Courses

The HEC Montreal is internationally oriented and has an international exchange program with over 100 universities in 34 countries, including HEC Paris, the Bocconi University and the University of Warwick. Partnerships in Germany maintains the University with the University of Mannheim, WHU and the EBS University of Economics and Law (EBS ). HEC Montréal has a trading room with real- time data from Reuters, e- Signal and Bloomberg, which serves the Montréal Stock Exchange as an alternative space.

The language of instruction is French, the MBA is offered in French and English. Furthermore, there are at HEC Montreal selective trilingual bachelor's degree program in business, which is taught in French, Spanish and English.

Rankings

By 2008, the HEC Montréal by Business Week was considered one of the ten best international business schools in the latest ranking it loses this placement. Furthermore, the offered by the HEC Montréal MBA is led by Forbes ' ranking business schools and "America Economia " among the top 20 MBA programs outside the U.S.. Even the Wall Street Journal and the Economist lead HEC Montréal worldwide as one of the best business schools. However, the University is not mentioned among the top 100 of the " Financial Times ." HEC Montréal belongs to the group of nine Canadian economy Canadian universities MBA.
