Helga Pedersen (Norway)

Helga Pedersen ( born January 13, 1973 in Verstertana ) is a Norwegian politician, deputy leader of the Arbeiderpartiet and parliamentary leader in the Storting.

Helga Pedersen studied history and Russian and was in the Provincial Administration in Finnmark and worked as a teacher. From 1997 she was a secretary for youth work of the boys Social Democrats ( ON ) in Finnmark.

Pedersen was a member of the Provincial Assembly ( fylkesting ) in Finnmark of February 2000. In 2003 she was elected President of the Assembly ( Fylkesordfører ). She was a political adviser in the Ministry of Economic Affairs April 17 to October 19 2001. Between 17 October 2005 and October 20, 2009 she led in succession by Svein Ludvigsen the Ministry of Fisheries in the second cabinet of Jens Stoltenberg.

Since 2009 it belongs to the Storting as MP for the county of Finnmark.
