Henk Vogels
Henk Vogels (born 31 July 1973 in Perth ) is an Australian former racing driver who also has the Dutch nationality. His Dutch father, who is also called Henk Vogels, was a professional cyclist in the 1960s.
In 1994 he won jointly with Damian McDonald, Phil Anderson and Dennis board the team time trial at the Commonwealth Games in Victoria Canada. Henk Vogels began his professional career in 1995 with the predecessor team of Rabobank, namely Novell. In his second year, he won a stage of the junior tour Tour de l' Avenir. Then he moved to GAN, later Crédit Agricole team, and participated in the 1997 Tour de France for the first time part. He finished on the 99th place overall. In 1999 he celebrated the biggest success of his career, he won the national championship. In 2000 he moved to the U.S. Mercury Cycling Team. After three years there he remained for two years in the States in the Navigator. 2005 and 2006 drove the bird for the Belgian ProTour team Davitamon -Lotto, he then joined the American team Toyota - United. End of the 2008 season, he finished his career.
