Henri-Jacques de Croes

Henri -Jacques de Croes ( born September 19, 1705 Antwerp, † August 16 1786 in Brussels) was a composer and violinist from the Austrian Netherlands, now Belgium.

Life

Henri -Jacques de Croes was from 1723 first violinist at the Cathedral of Antwerp. From 1729 to 1744 he had an appointment as Kapellmeister to residing in Brussels and Frankfurt Prince Karl von Thurn und Taxis. Back in Brussels, he was in 1744 concertmaster in the court orchestra of the Austrian governor Charles Alexander of Lorraine in Brussels, which was under the direction of Jean -Joseph Fiocco.
