Henry VII Rumpold

Henry VII of Glogau (also Henry VII " Rumpold "; Henry VII of Glogau - Sagan; * before 1345, † December 5, 1393 ) was from 1369 to 1378 ( with his brothers ) Duke of Sagan and ( ducal ) Glogau and from 1378 onwards as the sole Duke of Duke of Glogau and Steinau. He was a vassal of the crown of Bohemia and came from a branch of the Silesian Piast Glogau.

Life

His parents were Henry V " the Iron " († 1369 ) and Anna († 1363), daughter of the Duke of Waclaw Płock. In 1372 he married Hedwig († 1409 ), daughter of Duke Wenceslas I of Legnica

When his father's death in 1369, Henry V Henry VII " Rumpold " were and his older brother Henry VI. " The elder " and the younger brother of Henry VIII " sparrow " not yet of age. Therefore, they initially were under the guardianship of the Duke of Legnica Ruprecht I, who in 1372 married her widowed sister Hedwig time already. When the resulting inheritance disputes of Legnica Duke Ludwig played a mediating role. He was a brother of her deceased father, and accomplishing that apart from a division of his legacy now. In the division from 1378 Henry VII " Rumpold " received half ( the Duke ) and Glogau Steinau and Guhrau.

Henry VII " Rumpold " died in 1394 unmarried and without issue. Since his brother Henry VI. the Elder. just a year ago had died, came all the property up to half Guhrau that had to be delivered to oil which from 1394 to Henry VIII " sparrow ".
