Hervé (composer)
Hervé, actually Louis Auguste Florimond Ronger, (* June 30, 1825 in Houdain at Arras, † November 4, 1892 in Paris) was a French composer.
Life
Hervé was first organist and stage singer before he conductor of the Théâtre du Palais Royal in 1851. He was the founder of a new French operetta. Through its " Folies concertantes ", a 1854 Assumed Stage Theater, for which he wrote several plays, he was the forerunner of the " Bouffes - Parisiennes " by Jacques Offenbach and the flourishing in its wake parodies music.
