Hirsingue
Hirsingue ( German Hirsingen ) is a commune with 2230 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Haut-Rhin region of Alsace. It belongs to the district Altkirch, is the capital of the canton Hirsingue and seat of the municipal association Canton de Hirsingue. The inhabitants call themselves les Hirsinguoises.
Geography
The municipality is located on the upper Hirsingue Ill Sundgau, five kilometers south of Altkirch.
Neighboring communities of Hirsingue are Altkirch in the north, Witter village, Tagsdorf ( point of contact ) and Schwoben in the northeast, Bettendorf in the east, in the southeast Ruederbach, Heimersdorf in the south, southwest, and Hirtzbach Largitzen in the west.
