Hulun Buir

Hulun Buir is a prefecture -level city in the People's Republic of China. It emerged from the Hulun Buir - Bund (呼伦贝尔盟) and extends beyond the extreme northeast of the Inner Mongolia Autonomous Region of the People's Republic of China.

Hulun Buir has an area of 263,953 km ² ( larger than Great Britain) and, according to census (2000) 2687228 inhabitants ( population density 10.18 inh. / Km ²). Scenic is the administrative area of the city by the Hulun Buir - Prairie, a high desert at 1,000 meters above sea level, which is used for animal husbandry, and Hulun Buir the two lakes, the latter is partly in the State of Mongolia, and the Great Hinggan Mountains and their taiga forests and intensive forestry use, embossed.

The area borders Russia, Mongolia, Heilongjiang Province and the Hinggan covenant.
