I Am ... ( German: I Am ... ) is the name of the third official album by East Coast rapper Nas for Columbia Records. On the album, the two singles Nas is Like and Hate Me Now are available. I Am ... increased from zero to number one in the U.S. album charts, was sold in the first week 470,000 times, and has been verified by the RIAA sold a total of over two million copies in the U.S., double platinum. Due to the commercial appearance of the album by critics was assessed negatively by fans but still well received, as well as the hip-hop magazine The Source awarded the 4.5 mics.

I Am ... was originally supposed to be a double album, but was then due to black copies on the Internet a normal one- disc album. Some of the most popular on the internet songs were released three years later on The Lost Tapes. The album for Nas conditions a generous guest list to the deceased R & B singer Aaliyah, DMX, Puff Daddy and southern rapper Scarface. The second single is Like Nas was produced by DJ Premier and includes the chorus samples from the 1994 single It Is not Hard To Tell From the album Illmatic. The video was to be managed by Nick Quested, but was less frequently played as the video for Hate Me Now by Puff Daddy.
