Illas is a Concejo the autonomous region of Asturias. ( In Asturias and Galicia Concejos meet the municipios in the rest of Spain. ) It is bordered to the north by Castrillón and Corvera, in the south on Las Regueras and Llanera, also in the east of Corvera and Llanera and to the west by Candamo.
The main town Callezuela is a village of about 130 inhabitants.

History
Even in prehistoric times, the colonization of the region began with a key function for the whole Asturias as finds from La Reigada ( necropolis ) and el Cerru de la Peña show. in 900 Illas was first mentioned, under Alfonso III, a church " Memorandum " in Oviedo was deposited.

Geography
Limestone and shale are the dominant rock formations that can be seen clearly in the south bounding mountain ranges of the Sierra Tabornedo. The Rio Villa Terejo and several of its smaller tributaries traverse the Parroquia.
Transport links
The nearest airport in Oviedo is 37 kilometers from Illas. Coming from Aviles to the AS -237 is its own exit Callezuela. Stops the feve exist in any place.

Attractions
- Several old, some still operating water mills on the " Ruta of Molinos ' in stunning scenery.
- Iglesia ( church) de San Julián in Illas: by King Alfonso III. in the year 903 church founded.
- Iglesia de San Jorge, La Peral: 1936, rebuilt after a fire. The high altar is from the church of San Nicolás de Bari ( Avilés ).
- A lot of bands from different architectural styles can be seen in the region.
