Ingersleben

Ingersleben is a municipality without eponymous capital district Borde in Saxony -Anhalt. The community belongs to the municipality Flechtingen.

Geography

The municipality is located in the northwestern part of Magdeburg. The site slopes from the southwest to the Allertal by about 30 m. Ingersleben on the border of Lower Saxony. The former inner German border crossing Marie Born was located in the municipality. Supra-regional significance of the community through the existing single repository for radioactive waste (ERAM ) in Germany.

History

On January 1, 2010, the formerly independent communities Alleringersleben, Eimersleben, Morsleben and Ostingersleben merged to form the new municipality Ingersleben. This became a member of the community, also founded on this day municipality Flechtingen. On the same day the administration of Community Flechtingen was dissolved.

Traffic

The Federal Highway 1, which connects Braunschweig Magdeburg, leads directly through the community. Links to the Federal Highway 2 is given directly to the junction Alleringersleben (64).
