Islands is a studio album of the British musician Mike Oldfield from the year 1987. Islands is also the title of one of the songs. After the double whammy in 1984 with Discovery and The Killing Fields, soundtrack to the film of the same name (see The Killing Fields ) Oldfield had indulged in a three-year break. From 1987 to 1999 then followed at least every two years a new album before Oldfield to the computer game and the accompanying soundtrack Tr3s Lunas devoted.

Success

Islands builds on the usual success of the albums of Oldfield; the title song reached number 41 in Germany; Magic Touch was a top ten hit in the United States.
