Jack Adams Award

The Jack Adams Award is an ice hockey trophy. It is awarded annually to those coaches in the National Hockey League, which has most contributed to the success of his team. The winner will be awarded following a survey by the National Hockey League Broadcasters' Association at the end of the regular season.

The trophy was presented by Jack Adams, former coach and manager of the Detroit Red Wings, named.

For the first time the award was given in 1974. So far four coaches trophy with different teams win: Pat Burns (1989 - Montréal Canadiens, 1993 - Toronto Maple Leafs and 1998 - Boston Bruins ), Jacques Lemaire (1994 - New Jersey Devils and 2003 - Minnesota Wild ), Pat Quinn (1980 - Philadelphia flyers and 1992 - Vancouver Canucks ) and Scotty Bowman (1977 - Montréal Canadiens and 1996 - Detroit Red Wings ).
