Jack Hobbs ( born August 18, 1988 in Portsmouth) is an English football player and is mostly used as a central defender. He won with the youth team of FC Liverpool in 2006 FA Youth Cup, but could not prevail in the professional department and is available at Nottingham Forest since 2013 under contract.
Sports career
On his 17th birthday, Jack Hobbs signed a contract with FC Liverpool - the club, which he had already mounted as a child. Before that date, Hobbs had played only three minutes professional football ( in Lincoln City). In 2006 he was captain of the reserve team of the " Reds " and won in the same year with the youth team to the English FA Youth Cup.
On 25 September 2007 Hobbs made his debut in the senior team. He appeared as a substitute in the Carling Cup game against Reading FC in the 90th minute - the Reds won 4-2. In the next round of the competition Hobbs played against Cardiff City for the first time in both the Anfield stadium as well from the start and helped Liverpool to a 2-1 victory. After a first Einwechselung against Bolton Wanderers on 2 December 2007 ( 4:0), he came six days later for the first time from the start in the Premier League action, and lost the latter match against Reading FC 1:3.
On 24 January 2008 he was awarded for the rest of the season at Scunthorpe United. In July, the young defender returned to Liverpool to prepare for the upcoming season with the Reds. This was followed by a next loan deal that led Hobbs to the third tier to Leicester City. There he quickly became an important part in the defense formation of " Foxes " and led the team on the third league championship in the second-class Football League Championship. In addition, the players' union PFA him nominated in the Team of the Year Football League One; also elected him as their own trailers for best young rider of Leicester City. On 24 April 2009 Hobbs finally signed with the newly promoted a four-year contract - about the amount of compensation to Liverpool was not disclosed.
On July 16, 2013 Hobbs moved on loan to Nottingham Forest.
