James Arthur Ewing

James Arthur Ewing was an American politician. In the years 1952 and 1953 he was Governor of American Samoa.

Career

About James Ewing, there are virtually no sources. His life data are unknown. It is only mentioned that he was from Youngstown, Ohio, which does not necessarily have to be his birthplace. He was ahead of his time as territorial governor Managing a resident of Ohio steel company. In 1952 he was appointed by President Harry S. Truman in place of John C. Elliott as the new governor of Samoa. This post he held between November 1952 and March 4, 1953 28.
