Jan Pieterse

John Aloysius Maria "Jan" Pieterse ( born October 29, 1942 in Oude Tonge ) is a former Dutch cyclist and Olympic champion.

As an amateur in January Pieterse won several victories at smaller races. In 1963 he won the Tour of Austria. In 1964 he started in the Olympic Games in Tokyo and won together with Evert Dolman, Gerben Karstens and Bart Zoet the gold medal in the team time trial. In the individual road race he was 42 From 1965 to 1967 he was a professional, but without much success.
