Maik Landsmann

Maik compatriot ( born October 25, 1967 in Erfurt ) is a retired German racing cyclist.

His strength was the 100 -km team time trial. In this discipline, he became world champion in 1989 and 1990 Vice World Champion.

However, he was able in 1988 win with the East German team when he was selected along with Uwe Ampler, Mario Kummer and Jan Schur Olympic gold medalist in Seoul over 100 -km team time trial and the same year the East German athletes of the year with the team the greatest success. For the victory at the Olympic Games in Seoul, he was awarded the Patriotic Order of Merit in gold.

After the turn was compatriot, unlike many former GDR cyclists, amateur and finished his career in 1996.
