Jean-Marie Sermier

Jean -Marie Sermier ( born March 5, 1961 in Nozeroy ) is a French politician. He is the National Assembly since 2002 deputy.

Sermier, whose parents were of Swiss origin, acquired in Dijon graduated from high school and studied at an agricultural college in Byans -sur -Doubs thereafter. In addition, he was trained at a military base in Luxeuil -les- Bains to the firefighter. From 1983 he worked for the Chamber of Agriculture of the department of Jura. Sermier, who had previously committed to the Union pour la démocratie française, 1988 supported the presidential candidacy of Raymond Barre, but failed. In 1989 he succeeded in the election for mayor of the municipality Cramans, in whose council he had been represented since 1981. In addition, he moved in 1992 to the General Council of the department of Jura, to the Vice President, he was elected in 2001. In the parliamentary elections of 2002 he ran in the third constituency of the department for the newly formed UMP and was elected with around 54 percent of the vote. 2007 and 2012 he was re-elected.
