Jeanne Jugan

Life

Jeanne Jugan, the sixth of eight children of a fisherman and sailor family, founded in 1842 in Saint- Servan in Saint- Malo, the Congregation of the Little Sisters of the Poor (French Petites Sœurs of Pauvres ), which is involved in social and charitable sector. 1879, the congregation was by Pope Leo XIII. recognized.
