Jeff Hoggan

Jeff Hoggan ( born February 1, 1978 in Hope, British Columbia) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player standing since the 2012/13 season with the Grand Rapids Griffins in the American Hockey League contract.

Career

Jeff Hoggan began his career as a hockey player with the junior team Powell River Kings, for which he was active in the 1997/98 season in the British Columbia Hockey League. From 1999 to 2002 he attended the University of Nebraska at Omaha, for their hockey team he played in parallel in the National Collegiate Athletic Association. There he was able to convince especially in his last year in which he was an assistant captain of his team and where he selected both in the first All -Star team of the Central Collegiate Hockey Association, as well as the second All- American team in the Western Conference of the NCAA been. In April 2002 he received a try-out contract with the Houston Aeros of the American Hockey League, where he finished the 2001/02 season. In August of the same year he also wrote a contract as a free agent with Houston partner Minnesota Wild, but over the following two seasons, also only for the Aeros in the AHL for use.

The 2004/05 season spent Hoggan at the Worcester IceCats in the AHL. The National Hockey League sat this season out due to a lockout, and after resumption of operation of the game links Sagittarius also received a contract with the St. Louis Blues, their farm team were the IceCats. From 2008 to 2010 Hoggan played for the San Antonio Rampage in the AHL, where in addition he was team captain in the 2009/10 season. He also came in this period to a total of eight appearances for their cooperation partners Phoenix Coyotes in the NHL. For the season 2010/11, the Canadians moved to the Grizzly Adams Wolfsburg of the Deutsche Eishockey Liga. For the following season Hoggan received a contract with the Hannover Scorpions and products obtained in 43 games 28 points scorer. In order to preserve once more to get a contract in the NHL his chance Hoggan moved after only two seasons in the Deutsche Eishockey Liga for the AHL club Grand Rapids Griffins, the farm team of the Detroit Red Wings.
