Jesse James (customizer)
Jesse Gregory James ( born April 19, 1969 in Lynwood, California) is an American entrepreneur and television presenter. He was the founder and owner of West Coast Choppers, a former manufacturer of custom bikes. He is also the moderator and host of Motorcycle Mania, a U.S. show about motorcycles and Monster Garage, both of which run on the transmitter Discovery Channel.
Life
His great- great-grandfather was a cousin of the famous bandit Jesse James. James grew up in Long Beach, went to the La Sierra High School, and later at Riverside Community College and attended after graduating from the University of California.
At college, he played football successfully, his sports career, however, was ended by a knee injury. He was a bodyguard and worked for bands like Soundgarden, Danzig and Slayer, he also toured with Madonna, Nirvana and Metallica.
A re-injury forced him to abandon the profession as a bodyguard. He decided to get into the customizing shop and learned the craft at Boyd Coddington (American Hot Rod ), a hot rod customizer. West Coast Choppers (WCC ) was founded in the early 1990s, initially textiles were sold mainly in the style of the chopper lifestyle. James began in the garage of his friend, without pay and without a partner. Slowly he built from his workshop to one of the most customizing company. West Coast Choppers motorcycles built in the value of $ 50,000 to $ 150,000, for clients such as Shaquille O'Neal and Kid Rock. In 2009, one an own sales of WCC- Motorcycle Accessories, closed in October 2010 James the workshop and the store in Long Beach.
James has three children - a daughter, Chandler, and a son, Jesse James Jr. and his first wife, Karla. In addition, he has from his second marriage with Janine Lindemulder another daughter, Sunny. On July 16, 2005, James married actress Sandra Bullock. He had met her at a meeting between James and her eight- year-old godson, that they arranged for him who is a great fan of him.
The following year, James opened on 28 April 2006 in Long Beach, " Cisco Burger " restaurant. The restaurant is built in the style of the 1950s and was named after his pitbull terrier.
In January 2010, the couple adopted another child, Louis. In March 2010, extramarital affairs of James were known, in consequence Sandra Bullock filed for divorce in April 2010. In June 2010, the marriage was officially divorced. Since September 2010, he was romantically involved with tattoo artist Kat Von D. The couple announced in January 2011 his engagement, but split at the end of July 2011.
James lives in Austin (Texas ), where it is a partner in the Austin Speed Shop.
