Jim Sharrow

Jim Sharrow ( born January 31, 1985 in Framingham, Massachusetts) is an American professional ice hockey player who is since 2010 in the Berlin Polar Bears in the German Ice Hockey League contract.

Career

Jim Sharrow began his career as a hockey player in the U.S. National Team Development Program, for which he was active in the North American Junior League North American Hockey League in the 2001/ 02 season. He then spent three years with the Halifax Mooseheads in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL. During this period, he was selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 2003 in the fourth round as a total of 110 players from the Atlanta Thrashers for which, however, he never played. Instead, he ran from 2005 to 2007 for their farm team Chicago Wolves in the American Hockey League on where he stood in the 2005/06 season in parallel in 23 games for the Gwinnett Gladiators in the ECHL on the ice.

In summer 2007, Sharrow signed a contract with the AHL team Manitoba Moose. This he left at the beginning of the 2008/09 season and ended the season in the league rival Rockford IceHogs. In the following season the Americans came mainly at Victoria Salmon Kings of the ECHL in the. He also came in the rest of the season to their league rivals inserts for Wheeling Nailers and the AHL Manitoba Moose team and San Antonio Rampage. For the 2010/11 season the right shooter was finally committed by the Polar Bear Berlin from the German Hockey League. In preparation, he first took part with his new team at the European Trophy, which he won with Berlin. He showed no difficulties in adapting to the larger ice surface in Europe and was named the best defender of the tournament due to five goals and assists in his Elf inserts.
