Joan Lino Martínez

Joan Lino Martínez ( born January 17, 1978 in Havana ) is a Spanish long jumper from Cuba.

The Pan-American Junior Champion in 1997 sought since the early 2000s to acquire Spanish nationality, but could not start until 2004 for his new country. In the 2004 Olympics he won with his personal best of 8.32 m the bronze medal behind the two Americans Dwight Phillips and John Moffitt.

The following year, he managed to surpass at the Indoor Athletics Championships with 8.37 m his outdoor brand and win the title.
