Jon Bon Jovi

Jon Bon Jovi ( born March 2, 1962 as John Francis Bongiovi Jr. in Perth Amboy, New Jersey) is an American singer, guitarist and composer of the rock band Bon Jovi. In addition, he has worked as an actor.

Life

His father is John Bongiovi (born as Giovanni Bongiovi ) on from Sciacca originating in Sicily hairdresser. His mother, Carol Sharkey Bongiovi, was formerly a Playboy model and had a flower shop. The two first met in the Marines know. By 2006, the mother was the head of the official Bon Jovi fan Backstage with Jon Bon Jovi ( BWJBJ ).

Jon has two younger brothers, Anthony Bongiovi (born 1964 ), who lives in Los Angeles and produced, among others, music videos, and Matthew Bongiovi ( born 1974 ), who was tour manager of the group Bon Jovi at times and now runs a bar in New Jersey.

On April 29, 1989 Jon married his high school sweetheart Dorothea Rose Hurley ( born September 29, 1962) during the New Jersey tour in the Graceland Wedding Chapel in Las Vegas. With her he had four children: Stephanie Rose ( born May 31, 1993), Jesse James Louis (born 19 February 1995), Jacob Hurley ( born May 7, 2002) and Romeo Jon (born 29 March 2004). He has the song I Got the Girl, which can be found on the album Crush dedicated to his daughter.

The rock star was involved in the election campaign to the U.S. presidential elections in 2004 for the Democratic challenger John Kerry. He also supported the U.S. 2008 election campaign the Democratic candidate Barack Obama. In the U.S. presidential elections of 2000 he had already supported together with Richie Sambora Al Gore.

He was the owner of the arena football teams of the Philadelphia Soul.

His biggest musical influences are Southside Johnny & the Asbury Jukes, Bruce Springsteen, Bob Dylan, Thin Lizzy, Alice Cooper and Aerosmith.

Awards

In July 1991, Jon Bon Jovi was honored for his song Blaze of Glory from the movie Young Guns II the Golden Globe Award. In addition, the piece for an Oscar and a Grammy Award was nominiert.1998 he received an Echo as best solo artist.
