Jorge da Silva Orosman Echeverrito ( born December 11, 1961 in Maroñas, Montevideo), also known by his nickname Polilla, an Uruguayan football coach and former football player. He is currently the coach of the Baniyas SC (United Arab Emirates).

Playing career

Association

The Silva was born and raised there in montevideanischen Barrio Maroñas played during his youth for the Club Ciclista Fénix. At 14, he debuted then the CA Fénix, then went to Danubio FC before moving to Defensor 1980. In 1982 he moved to Spain and moved to Real Valladolid. In his first season in Spain he met in 16 games five times, after which a new contract was made. In the 1983/84 season he won with 17 goals as top scorer of the league's Pichichi trophy and with his club the first major title in club history, the Copa de la Liga.

For the 1985/86 season Da Silva joined Atlético Madrid, to replace the Real Madrid migrated Hugo Sanchez. In his first year in the Spanish capital, he scored 13 goals, won the Supercopa de España and qualified his team for the UEFA Cup. After eight goals in the 1986/87 season to Da Silva, adopted by the European football stage and moved to South America. There he was active in the following years in Argentina, Chile and Colombia, before he could finish his career in the home at Defensor.

National

Da Silva participated with the Juniorennationalelf at the Junior Americas Cup in 1975 and took the title with this team. In the same year he also belonged to the team at the Pan American Games. According to La República he was at that time at Rentistas under contract. Da Silva was also in 1981 with the Uruguayan U -20 South American champions on the side of players like José Batista, Adolfo Barán, Santiago Ostolaza and Enzo Francescoli. Coaching career
