Al Nassr FC

Al -Nasr (also al - Nassr; Arab النصر, DMG an-Nasr ) is a Saudi Arabian football club based in the capital Riyadh. The club plays in the Saudi Professional League, the top league in the country. The home games carry the football players from the King Fahd Stadium.

History

The club was founded in 1955 by two brothers Husein and Zeid al - Ja'ba and until 1960 it operated as an unofficial amateur club. Today, the association one of the largest and most respected in the country. The last championship dates from the year 1995. Winning the Asian Cup Winners Cup in 1998 succeeded the biggest international success. The just ended 2008/09 season the club finished in fifth place and narrowly missed out on qualification for the AFC Champions League 2010.
