José E. Colón

José E. Colón was a Puerto Rican politician and in 1939 Acting for a short time Governor of Puerto Rico.

José Colón exercised the office of governor between 25 June 1939 and 11 September of the same year. He was the successor of U.S. President Franklin D. Roosevelt for abuse of authority and other crimes (see Massacre of Ponce ) Governor Blanton Winship dismissed. On Colón followed William Daniel Leahy.
