Joyce Chopra

Joyce Chopra ( born October 27, 1936 in Waltham, Massachusetts) is an American film director, screenwriter, film producer and feminist documentary filmmaker.

Life

After graduating from Brandeis University Joyce Chopra two years studying acting in New York City and then became co - Eigenerin the Club 47, now Club Passim in Cambridge (Massachusetts ). After 1963, published a document with Happy Mother's Day, published by Joyce at 34 and Joyce Chopra in 1972 and 1975 two further documentation that you brought in a reputation as a feminist documentary filmmaker.

From the mid- 1980s, after she had her future husband Tom Cole met, she was interested in the movie. With the romance threatening whispers her first film was released in 1985, which was concerned with four nominations at the Independent Spirit Awards 1986. Then she turned more television and independent films, including Murder in New Hampshire, prisoners of hatred and Surfer Girls.

Joyce Chopra was with screenwriter Tom Cole, who died of cancer in 2009, married.
