Kai Fagaschinski

Kai Fagaschinski ( born October 6, 1974 in Dannenberg (Elbe ) ) is a German jazz clarinetist, improviser and composer.

The Berlin Fagaschinski learned the clarinet playing self-taught. He deals with noise phenomena in music and mastered the clarinet, the multi-tone technique. He performs as a soloist and as a member of several ensembles.

With Klaus Filip it forms the duo Los Glissandinos, with Michael Thieke the duo The International Nothing. In another duo formations he works with Burkhard Stangl, Chris Abrahams and Bernhard Gál. With Margareth Kammerer, Christof short man and Michael Thieke he forms the group The Magic ID, with Gunter Schneider and Barbara Romen, the group here comes the sun. From 2000 to 2006 he headed (from 2002 with Christof short man), the experimental music series spaceship lemon in Prenzlauer Berg.

With compositions Fagaschinski was, inter alia, at the Donaueschingen Music Festival (2007), at Jazz à Mulhouse (2007), which represented Ftami Festival in Kyoto and Tolio 2008 at Experimental Intermedia in New York and the Seattle Improvised Music Festival 2009.
