Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University

The Rajabhat University Kanchanaburi ( Thai: มหาวิทยาลัย ราชภัฏ กาญจนบุรี, Kanchanaburi Rajabhat University, KRU ) is a public university in the Rajabhat system of Thailand. The campus is located at Kanchanaburi, west of Bangkok.

History

The University Kanchanaburi Rajabhat was launched as Teachers College in 1973. In the nineties, more training programs were added, and the name of the institution changed in Rajabhat Institute Kanchanaburi. According to Royal Decree, the Institute was later elevated to a university.

Location

The University Rajabhat Kanchanaburi is located near the world famous River Kwai Bridge.

Academic organization

The University Kanchanaburi Rajabhat has five faculties:

  • Faculty of Education, also the oldest faculty of the University
  • Faculty of Science and Technology
  • Faculty of Social Science and Humanities
  • Faculty of Management Technology
  • Faculty of Production Engineering, at the same time the youngest Faculty of the University and intended as a training place for Applied Sciences
