Karenz

Leave is a municipality in the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim in Mecklenburg -Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is administered by the Office Doemitz - Malliß with headquarters in the city Doemitz.

Geography

The municipality is located in southwestern waiting Mecklenburg -Vorpommern in the semolina area. South of the town is the 71 -meter-high stone mountain, the highest peak of the mountain bug. Federal highway 191 runs 1.5 kilometers south of the village.

History

The place is first mentioned in 1270 as Karniste and was of the form of settlement forth a Gassendorf with estate.

On 1 January 1974 leave was (since June 12, 2004 part of the municipality Grebs - Niendorf ) incorporated to Grebs. On 1 May 1990, the city again became an independent municipality.

The lookout on the Steinberg offers several kilometers far-reaching panoramic views to the surroundings of the village, in good visibility conditions up to Ludwigslust and Doemitz. The former army land in the immediate vicinity is used as a training track for off-road vehicles. On the southern slope of Steinberg's Karenzer the heath, which is designated as a protected area by the Fauna- Flora-Habitat Directive because of its holdings, the broom.
