Kiril Georgiev

Kiril Dimitrov Georgiev ( Bulgarian Кирил Димитров Георгиев, Research Kiril Dimitrov Georgiev transliteration; born November 28, 1965 in Petrich ) is a Bulgarian chess master.

Georgiev won in 1983 in Belfort, the World Youth Chess Championship. 1985 FIDE awarded him the grandmaster title. He won the championship of Bulgaria in 1984, 1986 and 1989. 1990 he qualified for the Interzonal in Manila, where he. On the 12th-20th Reached space. He played 360 games while at the same time, of which he won 284, played 70 draws and only 6 lost; the success rate was thus over 88 per cent. On 13 August of the same year the record of Morteza Mahjoob from Iran has been ratcheted up to 500 games.
