Kirtachi ( German outdated: Kirotaschi ) is a rural municipality in the department of co-location in Niger.

Geography

Kirtachi lies on the River Niger in the big landscape Sudan. The neighboring municipalities are Kouré in the north, Fakara, Fabidji and Falmey the east, and Say and Tamou in the West. South of Kirtachi extending the World Heritage Site National Park W. The municipality is divided into 25 administrative villages and 38 hamlets. The main town of the rural community is Kirtachi consisting of the administrative villages Kirtachi Seybou and Kirtachi Zéno.

History

Kirtachi was founded in the early 19th century by a Zarma called Afoda.
