Kobryn Raion

The Kobryn Raion ( Belarusian Кобрынскі раён, Russian Кобринский район ) is an administrative unit in the Breszkaja Woblasz in Belarus with the administrative center in the town of Kobryn. The Rajon includes the city of Kobryn and 162 smaller towns. The total area of the administrative unit is 2013 km ², the population is approximately 91,000 inhabitants ( 85.3 % Belarusians, 8.1% Russians, 6.3% Ukrainians ).

Geography

The Rajon Kobryn is located in the southwest of Breszkaja Woblasz. The Nachbarrajone in Breszkaja Woblasz are in the north Pruzhany, northeast Bjarosa, in the east Drahitschyn, southwest Malaryta, to the west and northwest Schabinka Kamjanez.

By Rajon Kobrin flow 18 large and small rivers, whose total length is 298 km. The largest rivers are Muchawez, Kobrynka (12 km). The largest lakes are Ljubansee and Bamauskaje lake.
