Kojátky

Kojátky ( German Kojatek ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic. It is located three kilometers north-east of Bučovice and belongs to the Okres Vyškov on.

History

The area has been inhabited since the Bronze Age. The village was the first time in 1358 under the name Kojata mentioned ( the district Sardičky in 1356 ), and was at that time the Lord Beneš of Kvasice. His widow then sold it to Oto Stošov of Bránice who bought added other communities in the area. 1693 was the village at the Knights of Bernard Brabanský Chobřan, who also acquired in 1714 Šardičky. The village kept changing owners. 1886, came to Bučovice and 1992, it was again a separate municipality.

Personalities

  • František Götz (1894-1974), professor at DAMU and the Faculty of Philosophy, Charles University, Prague, Rector of the Prague City Theatre and playwright Národní Divadlo of the ( National Theatre)
  • In Šardičky Jaroslav Vykoupil, three -time champion of the Czech Republic was born in Athletics, which broke seventeen Czech records. He was a member of the Olympic National Committee.
