Korzyścienko

Korzyścienko ( New German Werder ) is a village in the West Pomeranian Voivodeship in Poland. It is the Gmina Kolobrzeg ( Kolberg rural community ).

Geographical location

The village is located in Eastern Pomerania, about 100 kilometers north-east of Szczecin, about 2 kilometers from the Baltic Sea. Neighboring towns in the west and north of the seaside resort Grzybowo ( Gribow ), to the east of the city Kolobrzeg ( Kolberg), whose city center is 5 miles away, but the city edge development drawing near and their treatment plant immediately adjacent and to the south the village Korzystno (Alt Werder ).

South of the village the railway line runs Koszalin - Goleniów ( railway Koszalin - Gollnow ).

History

The village was created in the 1770s under King Frederick the Great. Frederick the Great had ordered the Kolberger cathedral chapter to create a Handwerkerort for wool spinners here. The boundaries of the new settlement was separated from the district of the neighboring village Werder. The new settlement was named New Werder, Werder was named the adjacent Old Werder. In the vernacular, the new settlement led to the 19th century and the name spinning village, because of it for their wool spinner.

New Werder was laid out as a village street. Around 1780 twelve wool spinner families had settled in the newly founded New Werder. In addition, there was a forester skating and another wood keeper's house, for a total of 14 households ( " fires "). Until the mid-19th century, the population of New Werder rose. But the inhabitants gradually gave way to the woolen mill and limited to agriculture, in the relatively small district with its sandy to peaty soils brought but no high yields. The population of New Werder declined so gradually decreases again.

Before 1945, New Werder formed a rural community in Kolberg- Körlin the Prussian province of Pomerania. It was the smallest rural community of the circle.

After 1945, New Werder how completely Pomerania to Poland. It was awarded the Polish place names Korzyścienko.

In the years 1846 and 1864 forester skating Borkenrähm was run as a dwelling-place of the community New Werder. On official maps it is not listed; its location is unknown.
