Kozagawa (Wakayama)

Kozagawa (Japanese古 座 川 町, -chō ) is a town in the district Higashimuro (东 牟 娄 郡) Japanese Wakayama Prefecture. The town has 2881 inhabitants (as of March 1, 2014 ) on an area of ​​294.52 km ².

History

1956 closed the city Takaike (高 池 町) with the villages ( mura ) Myojin (明 神 村), Mitogawa (三 尾 川村), Kogawa (小 川村) and Shichigawa (七 川村) together with the new city Kozagawa. Mayor since 2008 Takeo Takeda (武田 丈夫) (as of January 2013).
