Krasang District

Amphoe Krasang ( Thai: อำเภอ กระสัง ) is a district ( Amphoe - administrative district ) in the east of the province of Buriram. The Buriram province is located in the northeast region of Thailand, the so-called Isaan.

Geography

Neighboring districts (from the south clockwise): Amphoe the Phlapphla Chai, Mueang Buriram, Huai Council and Satuek Buriram Province and Amphoe Mueang Surin Province Surin.

History

Krasang Amphoe Mueang Buriram originally belonged to, it was appointed in 1937 to a tambon. On April 26, 1952, the three tambon Krasang, Song Chang and Lamduan were merged, and set it to the sub-district ( King Amphoe ) Krasang. On July 23, 1958 Krasang was promoted to Amphoe.

Management

The county is divided into eleven Krasang subdistricts (tambon ), divide further into 168 villages ( Muban ).

There are five small towns ( thesaban tambon) in the district:

  • Krasang ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล กระสัง ) consists of parts of the tambon Krasang,
  • Song Chan ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล สอง ชั้น ) consists of the whole tambon Song Chan,
  • Nong Teng ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล หนอง เต็ง ) consists of the whole tambon Nong Teng,
  • Udom Tham ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล อุดม ธรรม ) also consists of parts of the tambon Krasang,
  • Mueang Phai ( Thai: เทศบาล ตำบล ปะ คำ ) consists of the whole Tambon Mueang Phai.

There are also seven " Tambon Administrative Organizations" (TAO, องค์การ บริหาร ส่วน ตำบล - administrative organizations).
