Krenglbach

Krenglbach is an Austrian municipality in Hausruckviertel in the district of Wels-Land in Upper Austria with 2990 inhabitants (as of 1 January 2013).

The competent jurisdiction is catfish.

Geography

Krenglbach situated at an altitude of 310 m above sea level. A. in Hausruckviertel. The expansion is 5.2 kilometers from north to south, from west to east 4.7 km. The total area is 15.2 km ². 14.5 % of the area is forested, 71.7 % of the area is used for agriculture.

History

985 was the place Chrenginpach as a location with a baptistery of St.. Stephen first mentioned. 1160 can be found Chrengelbach in a charter of the monastery Reichersberg am Inn. At the time of the Reformation, many residents known to the Lutheran faith. The parish was placed under the sovereignty of the parish of St. Mary Churches ad P.. Coat of arms

The coat of arms was granted in 1984 by the Upper Austrian government. It shows the Tatzenkreuz the coat of arms of the St. Florian, to which the parish belongs Krenglbach since the Middle Ages. The division symbolizes the two Christian denominations in the community, of which Protestantism was widespread at the time of the Reformation. The wave line represents the eponymous Krenglbach.
