Kristián Kudroč

Kristian Kudroc (born 21 May 1981 in Michalovce, Czechoslovakia) is a Slovak ice hockey player who is under contract with Sibir Novosibirsk HK in the Kontinental Hockey League since April 2012.

Career

Kristian Kudroc began his career as a hockey player in his hometown in the junior section of the HC VTJ CET Michalovce, for the first team, he was active from 1997 to 1999 in the first league, the second Slovakian league. He was then selected in the NHL Entry Draft in 1999 in the first round than a total of 28 players from the New York Islanders, for whom he never played, however. Instead, the defenders ran in the 1999/2000 season for the Remparts de Québec in the Canadian Junior Football League QMJHL, in their All- Rookie Team, he was elected. In the following three years he played mostly in the North American minor leagues and ran for the Detroit Vipers of the International Hockey League and the Springfield Falcons, Philadelphia Phantoms and San Antonio Rampage of the American Hockey League on. He also came in this period to a total of 26 appearances for the Tampa Bay Lightning and Florida Panthers of the National Hockey League.

The 2004/05 season began Kudroc at the Radio X de Québec from the Ligue Nord - Americaine de Hockey and finished it with Hammarby IF in the Allsvenskan, the Swedish second division. From 2005 to 2007, he played one year each long for Jokerit Lappeenranta and Ilves Tampere of the Finnish SM- liiga. Subsequently, the Slovak returned to Sweden, where he was from 2007 to 2009 for the Södertälje SK in the Elitserien on the ice. The 2009/10 season he began the Elitserien participants Brynäs IF, but left that after only ten games to go in the league for Frölunda HC. End of January 2010, he was finally obliged by Ässät Pori of the SM - liiga, for whom he played until 2012.

In April 2012 Kudroc was taken from HK Sibir Novosibirsk of the Kontinental Hockey League contract.

Internationally

For Slovakia Kudroc took part in the U18 World Youth Championship in 1999 and the U20 Junior World Championship in 2000. In the 1999 U18 World Championships he won the bronze medal with his team.

In 2012, he won with the national team the silver medal at the World Championships.
