Kunming–Bangkok Expressway

Kunming -Bangkok Expressway is the first international expressway from China. It begins in Kunming, the provincial capital of Yunnan province in southwest China, and ends in Bangkok, capital of Thailand.

General

The highway is 1,900 km long, of which about 730 km, China 260 km and 920 km in Laos in Thailand. It is jointly funded by China, Laos, Thailand and the Asian Development Bank and stretches south from Kunming to Jinghong and crossed the border into messenger ( Luang Namtha ). The expressway crosses the jungle and the highlands in northern Laos to the Mekong River to the Fourth Thai - Lao Friendship Bridge. Continue in Thailand to the south, mostly as Thanon Phahonyothin, up to Bangkok. The Kunming -Bangkok Expressway is to Chiang Rai in Thailand part of the Asian Highways Project AH3 and from Chiang Rai to Bangkok AH2 and AH1.
