Kyle Chipchura
Kyle Chipchura ( born February 19, 1986 in Westlock, Alberta ) is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is since July 2011 at the Phoenix Coyotes of the National Hockey League contract.
Career
Kyle Chipchura began his career as a hockey player with the Prince Albert Raiders, for which he was active from 2002 to 2006 in the Western Hockey League.
During this period, the attacker in the NHL Entry Draft, was selected in the first round than a total of 18 players in 2004 by the Montreal Canadiens, with their farm team, the Hamilton Bulldogs of the American Hockey League, he won the Calder Cup in the 2006/07 season. In the following season the links Sagittarius made his debut in the National Hockey League for the Montreal Canadiens, for in 36 games, he scored four goals in his rookie year and had seven assists. He began the 2009/10 season with the Canadiens in the NHL, as he stood before nor parallel for Hamilton in the AHL on the ice. On 2 December 2009 he was transferred in exchange for a fourth- round choice right in the NHL Entry Draft in 2011 to the Anaheim Ducks. After a solid first season in Anaheim, he agreed with the Californians on a contract extension by one year. In the 2010/11 season, however, managed the defensive striker not to build on the previous season, after which the Californians decided in June 2011 to submit any new contract offer, so Chipchura beginning of July 2011 was to free agent. On July 19, 2011, he agreed to a contract for one year with the Phoenix Coyotes.
Chipchura is considered defensively oriented forward and can be used flexibly on both the position of the center and on the wing of the player. Positive his team relevant way of playing was also highlighted. As weak points its susceptibility to injury and a lack of scorers qualities are considered.
Internationally
For Canada Chipchura participated in the U18 Junior World Championship in 2004, as well as the U20 Junior World Cup in 2006 in part.
