Lago del Narèt
Two dams
The Lago del NARET is an artificial lake in the Swiss canton of Ticino in the community Lavizzara at the end of the main valley Valle Maggia. He dines with some other smaller lakes the river Maggia.
The nearest town is Fusio. The reservoir is located at the end of the valley on 2'311 meters above sea level. M. Several small mountain lakes, including Lake Scuro, surround the reservoir.
Further up the valley, it goes to the bridge before Fusio first right to Lago del Sambuco. There, a roadway width of the dam is heaped on the eastern shore. If the barrier - Seasons and weather permitting - open, the narrow, here and in a poor state, but paved narrow road to Lago del NARET can be busy with appropriately adapted speed with motor vehicles. A total of 11 km, the road first leads initially on the eastern shore of Lago del Sambuco up to its northern end largely flat over, and then to rise moderately. After about 6 km, a further barrier mounted behind an Alpe. From there, the little road screwed to the two different techniques created in dams of the Lago del NARET up to over the tree line.
Both dams of Lago del NARET are befahrbahr by landfills. When viewed from the driveway it goes left across the eastern dam across a gravelled parking area, often considered the starting point for hikes to the Cristallina Hut ( Capanna Cristallina ) is what the 6.5 - hour trek shortened directly by Fusio from. Half right to move to the north-eastern dam, which widens at its end to a small area, where also hiking trails are excellent, for example, 30 min up to the Passo del NARET or also ( on the north shore of the lake) to Cristallina hut. History
The dams Naret I and II Naret were completed in 1970.
