Leopold von Schroeder

Life

Since 1882 lecturer in Indology in 1890 he became State Council, 1896 full professor in Innsbruck and worked from 1899 in Vienna. In 1894 he was elected an honorary member of the Learned Estonian Society. Among his outstanding achievements, the translation of the Bhagavad Gita is one of the Sanskrit. This translation is still in the German-speaking area of importance. He was also scientifically with legends and myths. He was one of the few scientifically dealt with the theme of the Grail legend and the roots explored. His mythological school in Vienna trying to prove to the modern era through a continuity of German culture of the Indo-European period.
