Les Tourailles
Les Tourailles is a commune with 70 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Orne in Basse-Normandie region.
Geography
The municipality is crossed by the Rouvre. Neighboring municipalities of Les Tourailles are La Carneille in the north, Sainte -Honorine -la -Guillaume in the northeast, Craménil in the East, Sainte- Opportune in the south and Durcet in the West.
Culture and sights
Annual pilgrimage to the local church of Notre -Dame-de -la- Recouvrance many hundreds of people to venerate the Virgin Mary. The Castle of Les Tourailles is located on a plateau overlooking the valley of Rouvre. It originally dates from the 16th century, however, burned several times and was rebuilt and expanded several times.
