Ronfeugerai audio? / I is a commune with 349 inhabitants (as of January 1, 2011 ) in the department of Orne in Basse-Normandie region.

Geography

Ronfeugerai located eight kilometers north-east of Flers, to which there is a small border in the southwest. In essence, the elongated in north-south direction municipality is bordered by the municipalities of Athis -de l'Orne and La Carneille. The streams Lembron and Lembronnet form the boundaries.

Etymology

The name is derived from Rouge Fougère, meaning " Red Fern " means. This is also included in the municipal coat of arms as an element.

History

Due to its convenient location, the village was the site of a meeting between canvas painters in the 18th century.

Culture and sights

The village church of Saint -Hilaire was built in 1885-1900. The bell tower was completed in 1898 in 1898 partially destroyed by lightning and even restored in the same year. After he was lifted on 3 February 1990 from a storm from the roof of the church, he was placed there again on 6 March 1991. The church has a Romanesque porch and holy water font from the 12th century. The neo-Gothic altar dates from the 19th century.

Economy and infrastructure

Most employees work in Flers, Conde and Messei. There are some shops in Ronfeugerai. 1985 was a multi-purpose hall. In education, there is a cooperation with the neighboring towns Durcet, Les Tourailles, La Sainte- Opportune and Carnelle.

Demographics

1850 the community had 830 inhabitants yet. Through the construction of 40 single-family homes, the population increased during the 1980s.
