Li Zhenshi

Li Zhenshi - also Li Shih - Chen ( born October 29, 1949 in Liaoning ) is a Chinese table tennis player. In the 1970s and early 1980s, he won four titles at the World Championships.

Career

From 1975 to 1981 Li Zhenshi participated in four World Cups. He was in 1977 with Liang Geliang and 1981 Cai Zhenhua double world champion. With the Chinese men's team, he won in 1975 and 1977 gold. In 1979, he stood with Yan Guili in the Mixed final. The semi-final he reached also in 1979 in singles and doubles with Wang Huiyuan.

Also at the Asian Championships, he was several times successfully. Here he was in 1974 and 1976 Asian champion with the Chinese team. The final he reached in 1974 with double Diao Wenyuan and mixed with Zhang Li and 1976 in a double with Liang Geliang.

In the ITTF World Cup 1980, he finished second in singles.

In the ITTF World Ranking Li Zhenshi took fourth place in July 1979.

In 1981, he ended his career as a competitive athlete. First, he then worked as a coach. In 1991 he emigrated to the U.S. where he coached U.S. national team.

Private

Li Zhenshi is married to the multiple world champion Zhang Li Her daughter is the table tennis player Li Nan. Today he lives in the U.S.
