List of cities in Honduras

This is a list of cities in Honduras.

By far the largest agglomeration in Honduras is Tegucigalpa, with a population of 1,682,725 (as of 1 January 2006). Thus, a quarter of the country's population is concentrated in the capital region.

The following table contains the cities of over 10,000 inhabitants, the results of the Census ( Census ) from March 6, 1974, May 1 1988, July 28, 2001, as well as a calculation for January 1, 2006. Listed is also the department to which the city belongs. The inhabitants numbers refer to the respective urban settlement in the narrower sense - the geographical area the city - not the city or municipality in the political sense.
