List of Stargate Atlantis episodes

This list of Stargate Atlantis episodes contains all 100 episodes of the science fiction series Stargate Atlantis.

Season 1

The Atlantis expedition explored the left behind by the Ancients city and starts their exploratory walks through the Stargate. However, there is still a lack of a suitable energy source to supply the city with sufficient energy can. Primarily missing a ZPM (zero- point module ), an energy source of the Ancients, which is needed for several Antique technologies. Because of the lack of power, it is not possible to establish a connection between Stargate Atlantis and the Earth. The first season is parallel in time for the eighth season of Stargate - Kommando SG -1. The first run of this season began in the United States at the 2004 U.S. SciFi Channel, in Canada on The Movie Network ( TMN ) and 2005 in Germany on Premiere, then on RTL2 on 23 February 2005.

Season 2

In the second season, the Atlantis expedition acts covered to maintain the Wraith against the illusion that the city was destroyed. Helpful in these operations is a ZPM, which has SG -1 stolen by a journey into the parallel previous series, the 5,000 years ago still prevailing in Egypt Goa'uld Ra. In the second season, there were the following changes in the cast:

  • Paul McGillion ( Dr. Carson Beckett ) was part of the regular cast members.
  • Rainbow Sun Francks ( Aiden Ford) had only cameos. Its character changed greatly after he had become dependent on Wraith enzyme.
  • Jason Momoa ( Ronon Dex ) was added to the regular cast. His character took the place of Lieutenant Ford in SG Sheppard's team.

Season 3

The Atlantis expedition discovered in a set up by the anti- nuclear weapon - originally intended to be used against the Wraith, but assumed human shape and was abandoned then - with a new, powerful enemy, reminiscent of the human-like replicators models of the previous series. The Wraith are still a dangerous opponent, but it turns out more and more that they are more complex than assumed. In addition, the Intergalactic Gate Bridge is built, consisting of a series placed between the galaxies Stargates and makes a connection between Earth and Atlantis ZPM without possible.

The third season, which runs parallel to the time- action tenth season of Stargate SG -1, was officially confirmed on 24 October 2005. Shooting began was the 20th February 2006 in Vancouver. The first 10 episodes beamed the SciFi Channel from from 14 July 2006. The global Original from the 11th episode took the Canadian channels Movie Central on November 20, 2006. The German premiere took place from 17 October 2007 to RTL 2

Towards the end of the season to adopt two main characters: Dr. Beckett dies in the episode A free day ( in the original Sunday ), so that Paul McGillion provisionally eliminated from the series. Season 4

Atlantis is set after the attack the Replicators not only to another planet, but also gets a new leadership: Samantha Carter replaces the no longer available Weir and is now responsible for the fortunes of the Ancient City.

On 21 August 2006, the U.S. SciFi Channel confirmed the cancellation of Stargate SG -1, but were in the same breath announced that it has ordered a fourth season on Stargate Atlantis. Start broadcasting in the United States was 28 September 2007. Season 4 was first released on DVD in Holland with German soundtrack in October 2008. The radiance beginning of season 4 on TV was the 16th February 2009 at the German SciFi Channel, Monday to Thursday from 20:15 clock, and ended on 19 March 2009. RTL II broadcast from the February 25, 2009 Wednesdays at 20 15 clock two episodes of Season 4. The broadcast was therefore completed on 29 April 2009.

The appearance of Samantha Carter in a recurring and important role in the series is sometimes due to the fact that the actress Amanda Tapping due to their baby break in the ninth season of Stargate SG -1 already prematurely signed a contract extension for an eleventh season. Since the series was not continued, they brought the character for one season to Atlantis.

Other changes in the occupation concerned Torri Higginson ( Dr. Elizabeth Weir ). She was seen only in guest appearances. Jewel Staite played the role of the senior physician on Atlantis by Paul McGillion ( Dr. Carson Beckett ) as Dr. Jennifer Keller.

Season 5

On 23 October 2007 it was announced that the U.S. SciFi Channel extends the offshoot of the Stargate series for another season. Thus, a total of 100 episodes of Stargate Atlantis were filmed. Season premiere was on 11 July 2008 on the SciFi Channel. Soon after it was announced that the series ends after the 5th season. The Season and therefore also the series finale aired on January 9, 2009 at the SciFi Channel. The German premiere of the 5th season began on 12 August 2009 at 20:15 clock at RTL2. Until 26 August 2009, the station was ever behind the other two episodes; from 2 September only individual episodes at 21:10 clock. The German premiere of Stargate Atlantis ended on 2 December 2009.

At the end of the fifth season of the Wraith launch an attack on Earth. Atlantis is moved into the milk road, to repel the attack, which will also work. The last scene of the whole series shows the city relatively unscathed from the American west coast floating in the background, the Golden Gate Bridge. However, since the city is invisible by a cloaking device, the world's population still has not learned of the Stargate program.

Some change in appointments over the last squadrons were already known before the broadcast:
